Introducing Portrait

Portrait is the studio's new service: personal websites, each made for one person. A site of your own, at your own address, rather than a profile on someone else's platform.

The first Portrait is for our founder, Taylor Dumas, at taylordumas.washburnwillows.com. It's a one-page portfolio for a software engineer, drawn like an architect's working drawing: a title block with the essentials, a career told as a changelog, and selected work set out as challenge, approach and outcome.

Every Portrait starts from your record, your work and your own words, and gets a look that belongs to you rather than to a template. Then we build it to the same standard as our own products:

• It reads well on a phone, a tablet and a desktop.
• It works from the keyboard, and its text meets contrast guidelines.
• It loads fast, served as pages built ahead of time.
• Adding a project or a new role is a small change, not a rebuild.
